Our team visited Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Home of Peace in Kuala Lumpur on 21 August 2026, an orphanage dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children in need. The visit formed part of Polymer Link’s ongoing CSR programme, which aims to support vulnerable communities and make a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
A Warm Welcome and a Shared Mission
The volunteers were warmly welcomed by the staff and children of Home of Peace. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and gratitude as the team unloaded a substantial donation of essential items, including food supplies, toiletries, cleaning products, and other household necessities. These items were carefully organised and distributed to ensure the home is well-equipped to meet the daily needs of its residents.
The primary objective of the visit was to support the residents by providing essential items that would ease the burden on the orphanage and ensure the children have access to the resources they need. However, the visit also provided an opportunity for the volunteers to learn more about the home’s operations and the challenges it faces.
A Time of Transition: Moving to a New Location
During their time at the orphanage, our team learned that Home of Peace is in the process of moving to a new location. This transition represents both an opportunity and a challenge for the home. While the new premises will offer improved facilities and more space for the children, the move requires significant resources, including furniture and other essentials.
One of the most pressing needs identified by the home was the requirement for additional beds for the new location. Ensuring that every child has a comfortable and safe place to sleep is fundamental to their well-being and development. Understanding the importance of this need, Polymer Link stepped in to provide the requested beds.
